Mission & Vision

The Music and More Foundation (MMF) aims to create opportunities for artists and musicians by offering scholarships for education, performance, and research projects. By providing financial support based on merit, the foundation hopes to assist individuals in furthering their artistic endeavors and cultivating their talent. Additionally, the MMF recognizes the importance of international exchanges and the value they bring to the artistic community. The foundation seeks to facilitate cultural exchanges in the fields of music and various other art forms, fostering connections and collaborations between artists from different backgrounds and nations. The foundation's vision is to nurture emerging talent and support established artists in expanding their creative pursuits. By fostering collaborations and artistic exchanges, the MMF strives to create a vibrant and inclusive artistic community where artists can thrive. Through its various initiatives and programs, the Music and More Foundation is committed to promoting music and arts, providing opportunities for growth and development, and contributing to the enrichment of the global artistic landscape.

What is the More in The Music and More Foundation?

When we listen to music, there is always the more component. By its definition, music is more. It is an art which unites rhythm and sound, combines different melodic lines and creates harmony of two or more notes played together. The more is sharing, collaborating and inventing synergy. The more is community. The more is cultural exchange. The more is diplomacy. The more connects music to movement, words, pictures, shapes, taste and experience.

How did we get here?

The beginnings of The Music and More Foundation date to 2014. First, there was a successful Music & More Concert Series in Tribeca, NY (2014-2015) and Lincoln Center, NY (2015-2016), followed by a creation of an international music festival and academy – Music & More SummerFest (MMSF), taking place every summer in Trebinje, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

As a founding director of MMSF, Tatjana Rankovich has often referred to the festival as her own Festival of the United Nations. Regardless of their ethnic background, race, gender or religion, students have been empowered to be creative and supportive as friends and colleagues, and to express their individuality as performers and artists. The sheer fact that the festival found its home in Bosnia & Herzegovina, a country with a difficult past, speaks volumes. Hence, MMSF’s success has taken us to this most natural step, the creation of The Music and More Foundation (MMF).

The MMF’s mission strongly supports our artistic vision - to nurture new talent and expand creative endeavors of established artists. We strongly believe in cultivating collaborations and international artistic exchanges. We strive to recognize the unique potential of each and every student, and through promotion of music and arts provide performance opportunities and scholarship for education and research projects to established artists and a new generation of talented students.

As performers, educators and art professionals, we would like to encourage all young musicians and artists to feel safe when expressing their unique voice, affinities and creative ideas.
