Magdalena Rančić
A phenomenal musician, soloist and chamber ensemble performer, Magdalena Rančić is a member of several orchestras: the Belgrade Philharmonic, RTS Symphony Orchestra in Belgrade, the Montenegro Music Centar Orchestra, Camerata Serbica, Makris, Orchestra, International Festival Orchestra “Luci alla Ribalta” in Narni, Italy and the International Chgamber orchestra Music Alchemy comprised of musicians from Serbia, Italy and Japan.A President of ESTA-Srbija (European string teachers association), Magdalena Rancic is also a member of MOTO (Music-Opera-Theater Organization) that connects renaonewd and established musicians from all parts of the world. A top prize winner at a number of national competitions, Ms. Rancic is a recepient of the prestigious “Novembar Award” by the City of Belgrade. She is a dedicated pedagogue and a frequent jury member at several prestigious international competitions for string players where her students have won numerous prizes. Ms. Rancic studied in Belgrade with prof. Konstantin Ivanovic, at the Belgrade Music Academy with prof. Nebojsa Ignjatovic and at the Accademis Santa Cecilia in Rome where she studied with prof. Antonio Shankalepore. Ms. Rancic was a first female double bass player who was a member of the renowned “ Borislav Pašćan” Orchestra performing more than 100 concerts with them, as well as a soloist in the “Jeunnesses musicales” under the baton of prof. Dejan Mihajlovic and Ljubomir Polojca. Ms. Rancic has collaborated with Zubin Mehta, Nigel Kennedy, Ksenija Jankovic, Uros Lajovic, and many others. She is on the faculty at MŠ Josif Marinković and OMŠ Vladimir Đorđević in Belgrade.
